SKIPシティ 彩の国ビジュアルプラザ 映像ミュージアム (Eizo Museum) in Kawaguchi, Saitama is set to host a special exhibition titled "What Is Stop-Motion? Exhibition The Secrets of Stop-Motion Animation" starting May 2, 2026.
Known in Japanese as "コマ撮り" (koma-dori), stop-motion animation — its formal name — has been captivating audiences since the earliest days of cinema. The exhibition takes a deep dive into the history of the art form, the creative process behind it, and the works it has produced, shedding light on its enduring appeal and cultural significance.

Exhibition Period: May 2, 2026 (Saturday) to September 27, 2026 (Sunday)
Venue: SKIPシティ 彩の国ビジュアルプラザ 映像ミュージアム
Hours: 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM (last entry at 4:30 PM)
Closed: Mondays (if a public holiday falls on Monday, the museum closes on the following weekday instead)
Admission: Adults ¥520 / Elementary and junior high school students ¥260 (includes access to the permanent exhibition)
