Suikoden STAR LEAP — the Suikoden series' first entirely new entry in 14 years — has launched today, August 7 (Friday), for iOS and Android in Japan. (This release covers the domestic Japanese iOS/Android version only; the release schedule for the global iOS/Android and PC versions will be announced at a later date.)
The Suikoden series is known for RPGs in which each installment brings together more than 108 distinctive characters, weaving a substantial story out of the people's hopes and intertwining fates.
As the series' first mobile title, Suikoden STAR LEAP stands as part of the official Suikoden canon, centering on the true rune known as 「変化の紋章」 as a new story of the 108 Stars unfolds.
To mark the launch, the official program "Suikoden Live" Vol. 7 and a release PV have been published, packed with details on the first in-game event set to arrive soon along with campaign information.

In-Game Events With Dedicated Storylines
The game features in-game events with their own dedicated storylines, each letting players control a different protagonist from the main story.
First Event Lets Players Control Odessa Silverberg
In the first event, "Under the Banner of the Liberation Army," players can control Odessa Silverberg, leader of the Liberation Army. It depicts a story that was never shown in past Suikoden titles or in the main story of Suikoden STAR LEAP. This event is scheduled to arrive soon, so stay tuned for further updates.
Guidelines for Fan Videos and Derivative Works
Guidelines covering gameplay/commentary videos and derivative fan works are now available. Players are warmly encouraged to post their own gameplay and commentary videos and to share derivative works. See the official site for details.

A campaign giving away shikishi boards autographed by the voice actors behind the game's characters is being held in stages.
