Sukiyaki Juniten Kyoto, a sukiyaki specialty restaurant located inside Maruyama Park — one of Kyoto's most celebrated cherry blossom destinations, sitting adjacent to Yasaka Shrine — is set to launch new spring menus on March 20, 2026 (Friday). The additions include bento-style lunch sets and a 60-minute all-you-can-eat sukiyaki course, both designed for the restaurant's first terrace season since opening in autumn 2025.

The restaurant occupies a renovated traditional Kyoto townhouse (machiya) within the park grounds. Staff prepare sukiyaki tableside, and the menu centers on carefully selected wagyu beef.
New Spring Lunch Menus
The new lunch sets are served bento-box style, a format suited to the open terrace surrounded by greenery. Guests can choose from a lineup that combines the restaurant's signature sukiyaki with other options such as a 100% Japanese Black Beef hamburger steak or an A5 wagyu beef steak. The sets are available for both dine-in and takeout, making them a practical choice for a stroll or hanami (cherry blossom viewing) in the park. A 60-minute all-you-can-eat sukiyaki course is also available.
Lunch Menu (from March 20, 2026)
- Sukiyaki Set Meal: ¥2,800
- Special Sukiyaki Set Meal: ¥4,800
- Homemade Hamburger Set Meal: ¥2,800
- Today's Special Beef Steak Set Meal: ¥6,800
- Juniten Kyoto Set Meal: ¥7,700

Set meals include red miso soup and a small side dish. The all-you-can-eat course includes an appetizer, silver rice, red miso soup, and pickles. All prices are tax-inclusive.
A Renovated Townhouse with an Open Feel

The restaurant is set in a renovated Kyoto townhouse with high ceilings and an open terrace, decorated in earthy tones that blend with the natural surroundings of Maruyama Park. Simple, modern furniture is paired with Japanese design elements for a relaxed atmosphere.

Large windows frame the park's changing seasonal scenery. Seating options include table seats with views of the park, open-air terrace seats, and counter seats for solo diners.
Open-Air Terrace Seating

The wood-decked terrace accommodates 20 seats and opens directly onto the park. During the day, guests dine under soft natural light; from evening onward, lanterns create a distinctly Kyoto atmosphere. Due to limited seating, advance reservations are recommended (available by phone).

Maruyama Park is a designated National Place of Scenic Beauty and one of Kyoto's most famous hanami spots. In spring, weeping cherry trees fill the park. The terrace at Sukiyaki Juniten Kyoto offers a front-row view of the blossoms.
