Suntory will release a new non-alcoholic beer-taste drink, "Shugyoku no Ippai" (珠玉の一杯), on Tuesday, December 22, 2026. Made to enrich ramen time, it will be sold nationwide in limited quantities.
Suntory has been working to expand the non-alcoholic beverage market by offering a diverse lineup and suggesting different occasions for drinking, positioning these drinks as a way to enrich people's lives. For this release, the company set out to develop a non-alcoholic beer-taste drink that brings out the best in ramen, a dish loved by many people in Japan. To do so, it collaborated with SUSURU, a ramen YouTuber with approximately 2 million subscribers (as of the end of September 2026). The drink carries SUSURU's seal of approval.
Flavor and Package
The use of aroma hops gives the drink a refined fragrance, a soft lingering finish and a refreshing aftertaste. The flavor was developed after evaluating how well it pairs with various kinds of ramen. It aims for a taste in which the hops' refreshing aroma brings out the umami of the ramen broth and makes you want to take another sip after each bite.
The drink contains 0.00% alcohol and is zero calories, zero carbohydrates and zero purines (see the notes below), so it can be enjoyed without worry.
The package features a ramen bowl design, SUSURU's illustration and handwritten comments, among other elements, conveying that this is "a drink that goes with ramen."
