Sushi Choshimaru (すし銚子丸), a gourmet kaiten-zushi chain, opened its first location in the Nakano area on May 29, 2026 (Friday). The new restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of Park City Nakano — a newly built mixed-use complex directly in front of JR Nakano Station's north exit — and marks the chain's continued expansion into central Tokyo following the Shinjuku Subnade location that opened in February of this year.
First Nakano-Area Store Targets Urban Diners
Park City Nakano is a new landmark development featuring office, residential, and commercial zones in front of Nakano Station. The Nakano store is designed to cater to the diverse needs of city visitors — from office workers looking for a lunchtime meal to local residents seeking a relaxed dining experience.
A Dedicated Takeout Corner
Unlike other Sushi Choshimaru locations, the Park City Nakano store features a dedicated takeout corner near the register. Shoppers and commuters can stop by and pick up sushi without having to wait, making it easy to enjoy Sushi Choshimaru's food at home or in the office.
Grand Opening Campaign: Limited-Edition "Hon Maguro 5-Piece Set"
To celebrate the Nakano opening, a limited-edition "Hon Maguro (Pacific Bluefin Tuna) 5-Piece Set" is being offered for a limited time. The set features a selection of premium tuna cuts — including otoro (fatty tuna), chutoro (medium fatty tuna), and akami (lean tuna) — paired with the restaurant's carefully crafted shari (sushi rice).
Takeout Restrictions During the Opening Period
From the grand opening through June 24 (Wednesday), a la carte single-item takeout will be temporarily unavailable. A la carte single items will be available for takeout starting June 25 (Thursday).
This opening campaign is exclusive to the Nakano location.
