The "Tagami Bamboo Boo 2025" International Bamboo Festival opens in Niigata Prefecture's Tagami Town, featuring mystical bamboo illuminations across a vast 17-hectare bamboo forest. This fourth annual event transforms the entire bamboo forest with enchanting bamboo light art installations throughout the festival period. The event offers a rich variety of experiences for all five senses, including illumination displays, night markets featuring local gourmet food, and interactive activities.
Continuing from last year, special guest actress and yoga instructor Rio Matsumoto will participate in "Bamboo Morning Yoga," while visitors can enjoy the unique "ABiL Tent Sauna in the Bamboo Forest," where the heat of tent saunas combines with the illuminated bamboo forest for a one-of-a-kind experience.
For the first time this year, the festival introduces the "Tagami Bamboo Festival Concert," featuring live music performances. Visitors can enjoy exclusive acoustic live performances in the mystically illuminated bamboo forest setting.

1. Mystical Space Creation with Bamboo Light Art
At the main venue "Tagami Bamboo Boo Bamboo Forest," which local residents have maintained from an abandoned bamboo forest the size of a soccer field, and at "Tsubakijuso," a prestigious wealthy farmer's mansion built during the Taisho era, visitors can enjoy mystical installations combining bamboo and light created by artists. Through bamboo light art that local residents handle from cutting to production and installation, the space offers new discoveries with every stroll.
