The Kyoretsu Mikan Cider Wari is a limited-quantity flavor from the "Kyoretsu" (intense) series, which offers the strongest carbonation in the Takara "Shochu Highball" lineup, a brand known for its strong fizz. Takara "Shochu Highball" is a dry chuhai that pursues the flavor of the original "Shochu Highball," which was born in the working-class taverns of Tokyo's shitamachi (downtown) area in the late Showa 20s (around the early 1950s) and is said to be the origin of the word "chuhai." Alongside the satisfying drinkability unique to Takara Shochu and a crisp, refreshingly dry taste, the brand has also been well received for its functional qualities, including zero sugar*1, zero purines*2, and zero sweeteners*3.
