THE Tender HOUSE, a hospitality venue located on Platinum Street in Shirokane-dai, is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2025. To mark this milestone, the venue is presenting an annual series titled "Essence of 'Ten'der," featuring 10 topics inspired by the number ten across three chapters.

Chapter 2, themed "Crossing Now," focuses on the intersections of people, the connection between Shirokane-dai and THE Tender HOUSE, and the bridge between past and future. In February, the venue will launch a special morning collaboration with the popular local bakery Seiji Asakura COFFEE STAND. In March, a one-day family event called "Family Essence Photo × Afternoon Tea" will bring together families and past visitors to share moments through family photo sessions, handprint and footprint art, and seasonal afternoon tea.
From morning moments to family time, THE Tender HOUSE invites guests to experience various "intersections" throughout these special occasions.

Seiji Asakura COFFEE STAND × THE Tender HOUSE Special Morning

This marks the first collaboration between THE Tender HOUSE and Seiji Asakura COFFEE STAND, both based in Shirokane-dai. For one month only, guests can enjoy a special morning menu featuring two exclusive bread items created by chef Seiji Asakura and THE Tender HOUSE.
The luxurious three-tier morning set includes the restaurant's signature ceviche and sweets, creating an extraordinary experience. This new breakfast offering was born from the intersection of two visions.
Shrimp and Avocado Focaccia Sandwich

This focaccia is made with the finest olive oil from southern France and fermented at low temperature for an extended period using raisin yeast. The fluffy texture is paired with shrimp, avocado, kale, and a marinated sauce of lemon and porcini, creating a satisfying sandwich meal.
Raisin Bread with Caramelized Apple and Gorgonzola

Raisin bread fermented with house-made beer yeast is toasted until fragrant, then topped with caramelized apples, Gorgonzola cheese, and roasted walnuts. The long baking process creates a fluffy interior and crispy exterior, while the sweet-tart apples, salty cheese, and crunchy walnuts come together in a dessert-like flavor profile.
About Seiji Asakura COFFEE STAND
A specialty shop for bread and coffee opened by chef Seiji Asakura in September 2022.
Chef Asakura began his formal training in France in 2001, studying at Bernard Ganachaud and Eric Kayser. In 2008, he opened Boulangerie Seiji Asakura in Takanawadai, Tokyo. The bakery became known for its signature cheese curry bread and other offerings, earning numerous awards and attracting long lines of customers.
In June 2021, his work as a bread artisan was featured on TBS's "Jounetsu Tairiku" (Passion Continent), bringing him further recognition.

Family Essence Photo × Afternoon Tea
As the conclusion of Chapter 2, a family event will be held in March for families living in the area and past visitors to THE Tender HOUSE.
The event features family photo sessions in the chapel, handprint and footprint art, live music, and seasonal strawberry afternoon tea, allowing families and loved ones to share quality time together.
The afternoon tea is designed for table-side sharing and conversation. Guests can step away from daily routines and enjoy a relaxing moment. Children's meals include pasta, ensuring the entire family can enjoy the experience together.
Perfect for families as well as groups of friends with children. Along with tangible memories through photos and handprints, guests are invited to enjoy their time at THE Tender HOUSE as an extension of everyday life.
