The "Neverland" Development Concept: "Kokoroodoru Hibi" (Small Good Things)

THE TSUBAKIMORI Hotel & Residence serves as a hub for the "Neverland" project, a neighborhood activation initiative focused on the Chiba Park area. The project aims to develop and evolve the Chiba Park neighborhood into a more vibrant and attractive destination.

The development concept for the Neverland project has been set as "Kokoroodoru Hibi" (Small good things). Starting from the hotel, guests can explore the neighborhood, meet people, and connect experiences — each visit creating its own way of enjoying the area.

The concept was developed under the supervision of Mediasurf Communications, the company behind K5 — a mixed-use complex including a hotel in Nihonbashi Kabutocho, Tokyo — which is also involved in the area's broader neighborhood revitalization.

"In developing the concept together with the Takusho Development team, I was genuinely surprised by how much potential the Chiba Park area has. We research many areas both in Japan and abroad, but the Chiba Park neighborhood has a rare and exceptional charm that stands out among them. I hope that the opening of THE TSUBAKIMORI Hotel & Residence will further accelerate the 'Kokoroodoru Hibi' of this area." — Kunizaki, Mediasurf Communications

The "Kokoroodoru Hibi Map" — A Guide to the Chiba Park Area

A printed map highlighting facilities and shops around Chiba Park is available at THE TSUBAKIMORI Hotel & Residence and at select nearby stores.

"Having been part of building the development concept together, we were able to approach the map production from the very beginning with a shared direction. What surprised us was that when we listed the spots to feature, there were already so many places in the neighborhood that are part of 'Kokoroodoru Hibi.' We've also included sample itineraries to help both locals who haven't yet discovered the area's charms and visitors who are coming for the first time. Art director and graphic designer Eiko Hayashi created beautiful illustrations and designs for the map. I look forward to seeing new content added over time, making the map even more vibrant." — Horie, Mediasurf Communications

Original Tour Programs Featuring Chiba's Sake Breweries

With the concept of "Hub a Good Days," the hotel aims to serve as a hub connecting people and places while spotlighting local resources. As a first initiative, the hotel is planning a sightseeing tour centered around sake brewery visits across Chiba Prefecture, in partnership with Imadeya and Kominato Railway. The program connects sake breweries and tourist attractions scattered throughout the prefecture, creating new experiences rooted in a Chiba City hotel stay.
