The Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights, the beloved nighttime parade that has long been a highlight of evenings at Tokyo Disneyland, marked its 25th anniversary on June 1, 2026. The parade first lit up the park on June 1, 2001, and has been a centerpiece of memorable moments for families, friends, and couples ever since.
Nighttime parades at Tokyo Disneyland have a history stretching back to 1985, when the original "Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade" debuted. Over the years, the tradition evolved through "Disney Fantillusion!" before taking its current form as the Dreamlights — a procession that has continued to enchant guests across generations.
No matter how many times guests have seen it, the moment when music fills the night air and a glittering parade of floats slowly approaches still stirs the same sense of excitement. Whether it is a family's first visit, a trip taken with old friends, or a new experience shared with children and grandchildren, the parade has served as a backdrop to countless personal milestones over the past quarter century.
25th Anniversary Commemorations
To mark the milestone, guests visiting Tokyo Disneyland from June 1 (Monday) through July 12 (Sunday) will receive a special commemorative image featuring an anniversary message, delivered via the Tokyo Disney Resort app.
A special video looking back on 25 years of the nighttime parade has also been released on the official SNS channel:

A Parade That Has Evolved with the Times
Since its 2001 launch, the Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights has continually incorporated new Disney films and technological advancements, balancing its enduring charm with fresh additions.
In 2007, the worlds of Finding Nemo and Monsters, Inc. joined the parade. A 2011 renewal introduced elements from Aladdin and Disney Fairies.

In 2015, a float featuring Rapunzel and Flynn Rider from Tangled made its debut, bringing a new glittering chapter to the procession.

The 2017 renewal brought some of the most significant changes yet: an ice castle float carrying Anna and Elsa from Frozen appeared for the first time, the Cinderella float was reimagined, and the Beauty and the Beast float returned with a fresh new look. All floats were also converted to LED lighting during this period, enhancing the visual spectacle while modernizing the production.

A Year of Double Celebrations
The year 2001 was a landmark for Tokyo Disney Resort as a whole. On June 1, the Electrical Parade Dreamlights brought new light to the night at Tokyo Disneyland, and on September 4 of the same year, Tokyo DisneySea opened its doors. In 2026, both are celebrating their 25th anniversaries simultaneously — with Tokyo DisneySea currently hosting its anniversary event "Tokyo DisneySea 25th Anniversary: Sparkling Jubilee." The dreams that took shape in 2001 continue to shine, evolving in form while remaining part of the memories guests carry with them.
