Two special events celebrating the fusion of Japanese traditional crafts and contemporary design are scheduled at the SKYTREE SHOP on the 5th floor of Tokyo Skytree in June 2026. Both events offer visitors a hands-on opportunity to discover the depth and beauty of Japanese cultural traditions through exhibits and product sales.
① Hand Feel the Brilliance of Japan ~ A TOUCH OF JAPANESE GOLD ~
From June 12 (Friday) to June 14 (Sunday), 2026, a special exhibition and sale titled "Hand Feel the Brilliance of Japan ~ A TOUCH OF JAPANESE GOLD ~" will take place, showcasing works from ROKKAKU, a foil-stamping brand operated by Futaba Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture).
The event features stationery and paper goods that highlight the delicate shimmer of foil, blending traditional techniques with modern design sensibilities.
A newly released Tokyo Skytree foil-stamped postcard is making its debut at this event. Available in two designs — daytime and nighttime — the daytime version depicts the tower framed by cherry blossoms, while the nighttime version captures the illuminated tower in full-surface foil-stamping. Each design offers its own distinct appeal.
A limited set sale will also be available, making these items well-suited as gifts for both domestic and international visitors.
