Starting today, August 12 (Wed), 2026, Tully's Coffee is adding a seasonal drink to its menu: Choco Affogato Shaqool.
The drink pours espresso and a chocolate-flavored frozen base separately, recreating the feel of an affogato — as if espresso had been poured over chocolate ice cream. The first sip carries a strong hit of espresso, and the flavor shifts toward chocolate sweetness as you drink further, with the espresso's gentle bitterness melding into the rich chocolate.
The espresso Tully's Coffee has focused on since it first opened
The beans used in Tully's Coffee espresso are a blend of high-quality arabica beans from Guatemala and Costa Rica. A deep roast keeps acidity in check while bringing out sweetness and body reminiscent of chocolate and caramel. At each store, baristas extract every cup individually after it's ordered.
The result is an espresso with a smooth texture and a balance of body, bitterness, and sweetness, along with a rich body and a pleasant aftertaste that lingers after the last sip.
