Hello! I'm Chida from the Holiday Travel editorial team! ✨
As someone who has lived in Asakusa for several years, I'd like to introduce a relatively uncrowded hidden rest spot. Today, I want to tell you about "Tullys Coffee Hanakawado Sumida Park."
Asakusa's Hidden Gem Cafe "Tullys Coffee Hanakawado Sumida Park"
When you're tired from sightseeing in Asakusa and want to take a quick break, the perfect place is "Tullys Coffee Hanakawado Sumida Park" located within Sumida Park.
Based on my experience of using this place multiple times, let me share the recommended times:
- Early morning hours: There are still few tourists, so you can spend a relaxing time
- Evening hours: The daytime hustle and bustle settles down, making it very quiet
- Weekday evenings: Surprisingly uncrowded
While it can get crowded with tourists during the day, you can still enjoy the beautiful riverside scenery. There's also a terrace seating area, which is perfect for the pleasant autumn weather.
Although it can still be hot during the day, the riverside breeze is comfortable, and having coffee time while gazing at the Sumida River scenery is exceptional.
What I especially recommend is the evening hours. The interior is not crowded at night, and the night view along the Sumida River is absolutely beautiful. You can spend quiet moments watching the Tokyo Skytree illumination and the city lights reflecting on the water surface.
