Ultraman Teodori Series Vol. 3 – Antlar and Red King Soft Vinyl Figures Get Full Revival Release

The third installment of the Ultraman Teodori revival series brings back two classic kaiju: Antlar and Red King. These fully reproduced soft vinyl hand puppet figures faithfully restore the original 1966 design data, size, and sculptural nuance of Japan's first monster doll toy line.

A Complete Reproduction of Japan's First Monster Toy

The Ultraman Teodori hand puppet figures were first released in 1966, marking the birth of Japan's first kaiju doll toys. This revival edition is based on data taken directly from the original products, faithfully reproducing their size, form, and atmosphere.

The figures retain the compact scale of the originals — small enough that an adult hand cannot fit inside — staying true to the specifications of the time. As a display piece, the sculpt carries the unmistakable charm and character of the era.

To distinguish the revival edition from the originals, the back of each figure features a newly added "Masudaya-Saito Boeki TM mark" stamped beneath the title logo — a detail that was not present on the original pieces.

The Origins of the Teodori: A History

In 1954, Masudaya-Saito Boeki introduced soft vinyl material to doll manufacturing for the first time in Japan with their "Milk Drinking Doll," replacing the previously used celluloid. Soft vinyl — durable, rounded, and warm to the touch — brought a major revolution to doll making.

From that foundation came the idea of creating monster figures from Japan's first tokusatsu TV series, ウルトラQ, specifically so children could move and play with them using their own hands. That vision gave birth to the Teodori, Japan's first monster hand puppet doll, in 1966.

This revival project carries the spirit and craftsmanship of that historic line into the present day.

Product Features

Faithful reproduction of the 1966 size and sculpt

Data was taken directly from the original 1966 Teodori soft vinyl figures to faithfully reproduce the size, form, and feel of the era.

Original compact spec preserved

The figures retain the small scale of the originals — too small for an adult's hand to fit inside — honoring the specifications of the time. The sculpt is easy to display and rich in detail and character.

Revival-exclusive TM mark

A "Masudaya-Saito Boeki TM mark" is newly stamped on the back of each figure, clearly distinguishing it from the originals while adding value as a mark of the revival.

Tokyo-produced soft vinyl

Each figure is manufactured in Japan (Tokyo), with an emphasis on warm texture, softness, and the character of hand-formed shaping.
