Suntory Wellness has launched VARON UV Air Protector, a new sunscreen aimed at adult men, available from May 13, 2026. The product is sold via mail order and select e-commerce channels.

1. High-level UV protection and water resistance
The product is rated SPF50+※2 and PA++++※3, placing it at the highest level of UV protection available in Japan. It also carries a water resistance ★★ rating, making it effective even during sweaty outdoor activities.

2. Lightweight, non-sticky texture
The formula uses a powder emulsification technology that encapsulates UV-filtering ingredients in fine powder (silylated silica※4), resulting in a light application that does not feel heavy or sticky on the skin.

3. Sweat-activated protection
When the skin sweats, the mineral components in sweat cause the powder particles surrounding the UV filters to condense, strengthening the film that covers the skin. This helps maintain UV protection even during perspiration.
4. Moisturizing beauty ingredients
The product contains Suntory's proprietary oolong tea extract※5 along with uji green tea extract※5, which help replenish moisture and condition skin that has been dried out by UV exposure.
