During the January 2025 broadcast on "Shop Channel," Watahan's "Shinshu's Blessing Ichida Kaki Dried Persimmon" sold out 2,000 sets in less than 30 minutes from the start of the broadcast, receiving tremendous acclaim. In response to this overwhelming demand, a re-sale on "Shop Channel" has been confirmed.
About Ichida Kaki
"Ichida Kaki" is the name of an astringent persimmon variety that is said to have originated from cultivation in the Ichida area of Takamori Town, Shimoina District, Nagano Prefecture. Among the dried persimmons from Nagano Prefecture, which boasts the nation's top production volume, Ichida Kaki is particularly renowned for its exceptional sweetness and chewy texture, making it a signature specialty product of Minami Shinshu.
Watahan's "Shinshu's Blessing Ichida Kaki Dried Persimmon" features carefully selected persimmons that are meticulously hung and slowly dried to achieve a vibrant amber color, bringing out the rich, natural sweetness of the persimmons to the fullest.
