After a 9-year break, WORLD HAPPINESS 2026 ~ I'm HOME ~ is coming back to Tokyo. The music festival, founded and curated across all its editions by the late Yukihiro Takahashi, will take place on June 28, 2026 (Sunday) at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium First Gymnasium. The full day timetable has now been revealed.
A central highlight of this year's event is the "SP YT session" — a special stage bringing together musicians who were closely connected with Yukihiro Takahashi, known affectionately as "YT." The full scope of the session has been confirmed, with three special collaborations set to take shape on the night.
Keiichi Suzuki, who shared the stage with Takahashi as part of the duo THE BEATNIKS, will perform the 1987 classic "Chotto Tsurainda" (ちょっとツラインダ). Long-time collaborator Steve Jansen will perform the 1986 collaborative track "STAY CLOSE." And in a newly announced third addition, the horn section of Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra — NARGO, GAMO, and Atsu Taninaka — will join the session to deliver "WATERMELON," a 1995 collaborative track between Yukihiro Takahashi and Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, performed in a special one-night-only arrangement.
