Question
I am visiting Japan soon and am excited to try izakayas! 🍢🍻 Questions: do customers need to pay "tip" or "gratuity" in addition to the food price? Is there tax, and if yes is it already included?

You'll love the izakaya experience in Japan! ✨
You don't need to tip here, service charges are usually included. As for tax, it's already added to the total price at most places, so the amount you see on the bill is what you pay. Enjoy your trip and all the great food! 😊🍶
