Toho Co., Ltd., Japan Airport Terminal Co., Ltd., and Tokyo International Airport Terminal Corporation have joined forces to launch the HANEDA GODZILLA GLOBAL PROJECT, an ambitious initiative to showcase Japanese entertainment to the world through Haneda Airport.
As Godzilla celebrates its 70th anniversary in November 2024 and continues to expand globally, the iconic monster is taking its next challenge to Haneda Airport, Japan's gateway to the world and a hub for Japanese culture and tradition. In December 2025, a massive Godzilla measuring approximately 40 meters in length and 9 meters in height will make its debut on the 3rd floor departure lobby of Terminal 3. This exclusive, overwhelming presence will greet all visitors to the airport.

Additionally, the 2nd floor arrival lobby's information counter will be adorned with graphics featuring classic kaiju (monsters) from throughout Godzilla's history. The same floor will also display a Godzilla statue from the critically acclaimed film "Godzilla Minus One," welcoming all arriving passengers.
The project is themed around "Godzilla welcomes all visitors to Japan and sees them off as they depart," with the global icon connecting travel's entry and exit points through the power of entertainment, creating an unprecedented airport experience.
Upon arrival, Godzilla says "Welcome." At departure, "See you again."
The project fuses tourism experiences with Japanese cultural appeal, creating memorable opening and closing chapters for every journey.
