The world-renowned British rock band Oasis takes over the big screen with Oasis: Don't Look Back In Anger, a concert film built to be experienced through an overwhelming sound system. To mark its release, 109 Cinemas Premium Shinjuku is holding a special preview screening the night before the film opens.
The screening takes the cheering-screening format, where the audience can cheer, vocalize, and clap in time with the film, taking in Oasis's best-known songs amid the energy and unity of a live concert.
Every theater at 109 Cinemas Premium Shinjuku is fitted with "SAION -SR EDITION-," an original sound system supervised by Ryuichi Sakamoto that pursues clear, accurate sound so natural and realistic it can make audiences forget they're listening through speakers and a screen at all. Cheering Screening Guidelines
So that everyone can enjoy the screening comfortably, guests are asked to follow these rules:
- Cheering, vocalizing, clapping and choreographed movement in time with the songs are all welcome
- Cheering goods such as towels and penlights may be brought in and used
- Please use cheering goods without blocking other guests' view, and avoid swinging or raising them too high
- Cosplay is welcome, though please refrain from changing clothes in the theater restrooms
- Filming or recording the screen, video or audio recording, and live-streaming on social media during the film are strictly prohibited
- Please remain seated during the screening
- Bringing in open flames, and using crackers, whistles, or other noisemakers, is prohibited
- Jumping, running, causing a commotion, hitting objects, playing instruments, or other behavior that disturbs fellow guests is prohibited
- Please refrain from excessive remarks, actions that disrupt the performance or other guests' viewing, spoilers, and any other behavior that could inconvenience those around you
- The theater may prohibit any other behavior it judges to be dangerous or disruptive
- Guests who do not follow staff instructions, or whose behavior disturbs other guests, may be asked to leave; ticket costs will not be refunded in such cases
- Filming by the organizer may take place during the event
