About the Facility Name Change

Facility Name Change

"SEA LIFE Nagoya" changed its facility name to "SEA LIFE Nagoya Aquarium" on January 20, 2026. Under the concept of "an aquarium that supports children's growth," it features abundant guest participation activities including backyard experience tours, ray shows, diver shows, and zones where visitors can interact with marine creatures. With the facility name change, the 11 themed exhibition zones were renamed to: "Encounter Sea / Hometown River / Interaction Sea / Nagoya Port / Seahorse Forest / Coral Sea / Ray Beach / Jellyfish Sea / Pirate Ship / Dragon Palace / Fish Drawing."

The facility also focuses on environmental protection and education through exhibits themed on Aichi Prefecture's natural environment, marine creature breeding and conservation activities, and joint river cleanups with aquariums across the country. It has been certified as an "Animal Welfare Certified Facility" by the Japanese Association of Zoos and Aquariums, becoming the fifth facility in the nation to receive this certification.
