Strings Hotel Nagoya (Nakamura-ku, Nagoya, Aichi) will hold its Christmas illumination event, which many guests enjoy every year, on Monday, December 7, 2026, from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM. This year's event, titled "STRINGS Christmas - PLAYFUL LOVE -", is held in thanks for the hotel's 10th anniversary and in the hope that guests will spend Christmas time with the people who matter to them.
In addition to a fantastical Christmas illumination show, the event includes workshops: a "pâtissier experience" in which parents and children or friends make the Christmas classic bûche de Noël, "ornament making" with wishes and messages to Santa Claus, and "flavored tea making" in which guests freely combine aromas and flavors to their own taste. A mystery-solving rally inside the hotel that both adults and children can enjoy and a "lantern release" carrying wishes are also planned. A flower market with blooms selected by the hotel's resident florist will be held as well, for gifts to loved ones or as a treat for yourself.

Christmas Illumination Show

A fantastical Christmas illumination show can be viewed from the hotel's 1st-floor lobby. Viewing seats require a reservation and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If the seats are full, guests will be guided to standing room in the 1st-floor lobby.
Strings Mystery-Solving Rally
- Time: 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM
- Fee: Free
- How to join: Rally sheets are handed out at reception to those who wish to take part.
This mystery-solving rally, themed around Christmas and the hotel, is open to anyone. Guests who tour the hotel and solve all of the mysteries receive a small gift.
Lantern Release Event
- Time: Reception 6:00 PM, experience 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM
- Fee: ¥500
- Availability: Limited quantity, reservation required
In the cathedral, where sparkling stained glass catches the eye, participants write their wishes on lanterns and release them all at once in this hands-on event. After the event ends, anyone may freely view the venue, where the lanterns float through the air.

WISH TREE Ornament Making

Participants make a heart-shaped ornament. On the finished ornament, they write a wish or a message to Santa Claus and hang it on the large "WISH TREE" set up at the venue. Guests can also take a commemorative photo with their one-of-a-kind creation.
My Signature Blend - Flavored Tea to Enjoy Through Aroma, Just for Me -

Starting from a base herb, participants freely combine herbs, black tea leaves, flowers, spices, dried fruit, and more, which offer a range of aromas, colors, and flavors, to blend their own original flavored tea.
Christmas Pâtissier Experience - Bûche de Noël -
- Time: Reception 4:30 PM, experience 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM
- Fee: ¥2,000
- Availability: 30 participants, reservation required
- Take-home: Not allowed
In this hands-on workshop, participants make the Christmas classic bûche de Noël and eat it on the spot, topping it as they like with decorations such as cream, meringue, and chocolate work.
Cathedral Open to Visitors
- Time: 7:45 PM to 8:30 PM
Guests can freely stroll and take photos inside the cathedral, the symbol of the hotel, which is normally closed to visitors.
Kitchen Cars and Flower Market
- Time: 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM
Kitchen cars serving churros, agepan (deep-fried bread), fried chicken, warabi mochi drinks, toasted marshmallow cocoa, strawberry milk, and more will be set up near the hotel entrance. Inside the hotel, a flower market will also be held, offering flowers selected by the hotel's resident florist, both as gifts for loved ones and as a treat for yourself.
