The winter 2026 Anko Expo opens at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store on Wednesday, January 28.

This year's theme is "Thank you Berry much."

As the cold season arrives, traditional Japanese sweets featuring anko (red bean paste) become especially appealing. This year's event highlights "Berry much sweets with anko" and "next-generation anko sweets." The expo features Berry much sweets where the tartness of strawberries and berries enhances anko's sweetness, along with innovative anko confections with new recipes and designs, beloved classic sweets from long-established shops, and luxurious special drinks. This year's event promises to delight red bean paste lovers once again.

41 brands will participate during the event period, with 23 brands preparing sweets fresh at the venue. Be sure to enjoy Mitsukoshi-exclusive sweets carefully selected by buyers.
