Authent Hotel Otaru Launches Original Haskap & Lavender Blend Tea with LUPICIA

Authent Hotel Otaru, a classic city hotel in Otaru, Hokkaido, has begun selling "Authent Blend Tea Haskap & Lavender," an original blend tea created in collaboration with LUPICIA, a specialty tea shop with a worldwide selection.

Authent Blend Tea Haskap & Lavender

This blend is based on Nilgiri black tea, with lavender petals and the aroma of haskap, a fruit Hokkaido is known for. The floral scent of lavender is followed by the sweet-tart finish of haskap, giving the tea a relaxed character that suits a slow pace. It is meant to keep guests company during a quiet moment in their room while traveling.

  • Contents: 25 g (10 tea bags of 2.5 g each)
  • Price: ¥1,300 (tax included)

Fromage Azuki

Smooth cream cheese with a gentle acidity, paired with the floral scent of lavender that lightly cleans up the aftertaste.

Weekend Orangé

The Nilgiri black tea base brings out the refreshing acidity of citrus sweets such as lemon and orange.

The good match between lavender and citrus makes for a crisp, clean finish.

Premium Stollen (Winter Only)

The haskap aroma in the tea goes especially well with berry-based sweets. Made to the hotel's own recipe with steeped figs, pistachios, cranberries, and blueberries, it offers a variety of textures and flavors.

Sales begin on October 1, 2026, at the hotel's official online shop, Rakuten Ichiba, and other outlets.

Also Available at the Hotel's Afternoon Tea

"Authent Blend Tea Haskap & Lavender" is also on the drink menu of the hotel's autumn afternoon tea, "Otaru Nostalgic Afternoon Tea – Harvest: A Bountiful Autumn –." Guests can enjoy the tea with seasonal sweets while looking out over the streets of Otaru.
