Banana Republic is opening a new regular store, Banana Republic Shinsaibashi, on Thursday, October 1, 2026. The store will serve as the brand's new base for brand communication in the Osaka area.
The brand was founded in California in 1978 by a journalist and an illustrator. It began as a travel outfitter offering quality apparel and accessories that invite people on adventures.
What You'll Find at the Store
The store carries women's and men's apparel made with quality materials and careful craftsmanship, along with a curated lineup that includes items available only at the Shinsaibashi store. Accessories such as scarves, hats, and bags are also available, rounding out a timeless, refined style.
From the FALL 2026 collection, the lineup includes cashmere sweaters with a smooth feel and excellent warmth, corduroy shirts and pants with a warm, rich texture, and outerwear inspired by the brand's heritage. For women, a gold color from the metallic sweater series, known for its elegant sheen, is available exclusively at the Shinsaibashi store.

Shinsaibashi Store Exclusive Tote Bag
To celebrate the opening, customers who spend ¥20,000 or more (tax included) receive the store's exclusive original tote bag on a first-come, first-served basis. It comes in two colors, brown and green, and the gift ends once supplies run out.
Tabloid "Hello Shinsaibashi"
A tabloid titled "Hello Shinsaibashi" is being distributed. It introduces the appeal of the Shinsaibashi store, its exclusive items, and the brand story, and also includes a map of the Shinsaibashi area with recommended spots. It communicates the brand's worldview and the appeal of the Shinsaibashi area. Distribution ends once copies run out.

In collaboration with Minoh Beer, a craft beer brand brewed in Minoh, Osaka, a "Welcome Beer Event" is held for a limited time from Thursday, October 1 to Sunday, October 4. The event ends once supplies run out.
