Casa de Amigos (カサ・デ・アミーゴス), a Mexican restaurant on the first floor of ENTERTAINMENT HUB KYOTO near Kyoto Station, and BAL UTAO, on the first floor of Jankara Night Out Kiyamachi, both offer "Bankara" (バンカラ), karaoke sung to the live accompaniment of a band.
The service is run by TOAI Co., Ltd., which operates Jankara, a karaoke chain with 212 locations nationwide and the largest scale in the western Japan karaoke industry.
What Is "Bankara"?
At Bankara, guests choose a favorite song and sing it backed by a live performance from professional musicians. Once a song is chosen, the band plays it live on the spot. The powerful sound and the sense of unity with the band make for an experience that regular karaoke does not offer.
The band improvises in any genre. Guests who would like to take part can ask a Bankara member or a staff member.

Bankara Also at Jankara Night Out Kiyamachi
Bankara is also available at BAL UTAO, on the first floor of Jankara Night Out Kiyamachi (ジャンカラ Night Out 木屋町店) in Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto. Step onto the stage and a professional band plays live behind your singing on the spot, so you can feel like the star of a live show.
BAL UTAO also has a DJ booth, offering an entertainment space where a wide variety of music can be enjoyed.

The BAL UTAO at Night Out Kiyamachi is the largest in scale in Jankara's history and offers plenty of content that lets tourists from Japan and abroad, as well as guests meeting for the first time, interact easily.
