Tower Records' Analog Record Specialty Store TOWER VINYL Opens in Kyoto on June 27

TOWER VINYL Kyoto, an analog record specialty store under the Tower Records brand, is opening on June 27 (Saturday) on the 5th floor of Kawaramachi OPA in Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto.

The TOWER VINYL (read: Tower Vinyl) concept launched in 2019 to meet the growing demand for analog records among music fans. With the addition of the Kyoto location, the brand will operate at three stores nationwide — alongside its existing Shibuya and Umeda locations. As a standalone store, TOWER VINYL Kyoto will be the second of its kind, following the Umeda store, and occupies the same building as Tower Records Kyoto.

The store will carry a wide selection of both new and used analog records — estimated at approximately 16,000 titles — catering to local residents as well as music fans visiting Kyoto from across Japan and abroad.
