Benjamin Steakhouse Kyoto Offers Summer "Yukata Gourmet Experience" Plan

Benjamin Steakhouse, the acclaimed New York-origin steakhouse, is offering a summer-limited "Yukata Experience Gourmet Plan" at its Kyoto location from July 1 to August 31, 2026.

Founded in Manhattan in 2006 by Benjamin Prelvukaj and Benjamin Sinanaj — both veterans of a long-established Brooklyn steakhouse — along with Chef Arturo McLeod, who spent approximately 20 years as a steak master at the same establishment, Benjamin Steakhouse has built its reputation on authentic American steakhouse traditions, pursuing the same tried-and-true approach to aged beef, grilling, and service. The Kyoto branch occupies a renovated machiya (traditional townhouse), where a Japanese-modern interior sets the stage for classic New York-style steaks.

Yukata Experience Gourmet Plan

The plan starts with dressing in a yukata, obi, and geta (wooden sandals) of your choice, followed by a stroll through the streets of Kyoto either before or after your meal. The full course centers around meat dishes featuring iberico pork, wagyu, and roast beef. The yukata set is yours to keep at the end of the experience, making it a memorable keepsake from your time in Kyoto.

Course Menu:

  • Today's salad
  • Assortment of 3 appetizers
  • Main meat dish (iberico pork, wagyu, roast beef)
  • Mashed potatoes / Cream-less creamed spinach
