Beppu Onsen Hana Beppu to Reopen March 6, 2026, with New Guest-Centered Stay Experience

JR Kyushu Hotels and Resorts operates the hot spring ryokan "Beppu Onsen – Bamboo and Camellia Inn – Hana Beppu" (Location: Beppu City, Oita Prefecture, General Manager: Shigeyuki Kawauchi). To enhance the value of guests' stays, the ryokan will undergo a large-scale renovation in March 2026, transforming into a new ryokan style where guests can spend time at their own pace "as they like." The renovation will include an all-inclusive lounge featuring distinctive bamboo baskets, a newly established amenity bar stocked with light meals, amenities, and rental items, and the conversion of all guest rooms to bed-type accommodations, pursuing a freer and more comfortable stay. Reservations for the new plan are now being accepted, with an exclusive 10% discount available on the official website. Please take advantage of this opportunity.

Renovation Highlights

While maintaining the existing concept of "gently soft," a new stay concept of "spending time at your own pace, as you like" has been adopted. Like bamboo baskets carefully woven one strand at a time, guests can spend their time as they wish in a gently enveloping space, tailored to the purpose of their trip and their mood.

[New] All-Inclusive Lounge Created with Bamboo Baskets

The all-inclusive lounge "Ippuku" newly established on the second floor will offer tea, coffee, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as snacks to enjoy with drinks. The lounge space will feature table seating for multiple people, a sofa space in the back designed with large bamboo basket motifs, a kids' space, and a library, allowing guests to spend time comfortably at their own pace, whether reading or chatting.

The amenity bar "Shitsuraedokoro Ichiraku" newly established in the first-floor lobby will feature amenities that appeal to women, rental items such as several types of pillows to choose from, as well as local drinks and individually wrapped sweets. Guests can choose "as they like" according to their mood and preferences each day, customizing their stay style. This is a new kind of hospitality unique to Hana Beppu, where guests can enjoy both the comfort of selecting only what they need and the experience of choosing itself.

[Partial Renewal] Dining Area for Even Better Relaxation Time

This renovation includes not only improvements to the cuisine but also partial renovations to the dining area. The dining area "Ryori Chaya Kocho," relocated from the second floor to the first floor, has been renewed as a semi-private space created with bamboo baskets. Guests can enjoy their meals leisurely without worrying about their surroundings.

For hot pot dishes, several types of condiments are provided so guests can choose according to their mood. Additionally, dishes featuring local Oita ingredients such as chicken and wagyu beef, as well as seasonal ingredients, will be served. The joy of choice has been further expanded for girls' trips, couples, family trips, and other travel purposes and preferences.

For breakfast, guests can enjoy tamago kake gohan (rice with raw egg) featuring freshly cooked rice from small pots paired with fresh eggs from the "Uchi no Tamago" brand. Additionally, eight types of miso balls are available, allowing guests to enjoy miso soup according to their preferences.
