The Hot Spring Source at Gensen Itto Minami-Izu

The inn draws from two natural hot spring sources, "Kujō" and "Daifuku," located in Shimogamo Onsen in Minami-Izu — an area nourished by the warm Kuroshio Current. These springs reach a maximum temperature of 71.4°C and produce approximately 230 liters per minute, with one of the highest salinity concentrations in Japan. The spring type is sodium-calcium chloride water. The mineral-rich salt layer locks in heat to warm the body from the core, while abundant metasilicic acid leaves the skin feeling silky smooth — earning it the nickname "beauty hot spring."

Private Outdoor Baths and Large Open-Air Bath

Guests can enjoy the hot spring water flowing directly from the source in a variety of private outdoor baths (rotenburo), as well as a large bath with an adjacent open-air section. Multiple bath styles with different atmospheres are available for a relaxing bathing journey.

Note: Some private outdoor baths require an additional fee. Please contact the inn for reservation details.

Dinner: Savoring Freshness Straight from the Live Fish Tank

One of the highlights of a stay here is the fresh seafood lifted directly from the inn's on-site live fish tank (ikesuu). Carefully selected seasonal ingredients are served at their absolute freshest.

A generous platter of "Five-Kind Sashimi Assortment" can be enjoyed as-is, or cooked in new ways such as ishiyaki (stone-grilled) or shabu-shabu to draw out even more depth of flavor. Additionally, freshly made nigiri sushi featuring more than 10 types of fish at any time — including flounder, tuna, and sea bream — is prepared to order. Guests can enjoy as much as they like, savoring the incredible freshness straight from the live tank.

Note: The menu content may be partially changed depending on the day's catch.

Breakfast: The "San-no-Zen" Style Morning Meal

Breakfast showcases locally sourced ingredients in a visually stunning spread. The meal is served in the "San-no-Zen" style, which includes piping-hot simmered kinmedai (splendid alfonsino) from Izu Shimoda, Izu brand beef soboro donburi, a colorful hako-zen box set with nine side dishes, and handmade tofu — a truly flavorful start to the day that reflects the bounty of Minami-Izu.
