BISTRO FAVORI Daikanyama, a French restaurant at 1-4-8 Aobadai, Meguro Ward, Tokyo, will serve special Christmas courses for one week only, from Saturday, December 19 to Friday, December 25, 2026.
The restaurant is on the first floor of a Western-style mansion-like building along Kyu-Yamate Dori. Its open terrace looks out on the Daikanyama streetscape, and its chic exterior recalls an authentic Parisian bistro. Inside, a 3.5 m high ceiling and an open kitchen create a bright, open atmosphere.
Chef Yasutsugu Shiraishi's cooking is built on traditional French techniques and draws on his familiarity with Japanese ingredients. It is meant to be enjoyed with wine.

Chef Yasutsugu Shiraishi

Chef Shiraishi trained under Kihachi Kumagai at KIHACHI in Minami-Aoyama and SELAN in Gaienmae, learning from a figure who was always an innovator in the French culinary world. He went on to serve as head chef at the Southern European restaurant "南欧料理 キャンドル" in Shibuya and at Il bar Morricone in Ebisu. He was appointed, unusually, as chef of the first Western cuisine division at Nadaman, a long-established Japanese restaurant.
His original style is built on traditional French techniques and draws on his familiarity with Japanese ingredients.
