Strawberry Caramel Crispy – a refreshing crispy sandwich with berry and milk flavors

A Seasonal Take on a Hokkaido Classic

The star ingredient is a sweet-and-sour strawberry caramel sauce made from "Suzuakane," a summer strawberry variety grown in Yoichi, Hokkaido. The filling is wrapped in Hokkaido white chocolate with a fluffy, ice cream-like texture, then coated with a berry fondant for a satisfying crispy shell.

The result is a treat where the tartness of berries and the richness of milk melt together in a refreshing combination. The crispy dough is made with butter from Machimura Farm—a farm with over 100 years of tradition—baked to a satisfying crunch.

About Yoichi's Summer Strawberries

Yoichi, Hokkaido has been a leading fruit-growing region since the Meiji era, benefiting from a cool climate with significant temperature swings between day and night—conditions that naturally enhance the sweetness of fruit. In recent years, "Yoichi summer strawberries" have been gaining attention, as the cool Hokkaido climate helps them develop a distinctive aroma and sweet-tart flavor. Harvested during summer when mainland strawberries are scarce, they are prized for their rarity. With firm flesh well-suited to cakes, parfaits, jams, and other processed goods, these berries are a taste of the season that can also be enjoyed at local tourist farms and farm stands.
