Broadway CHRISTMAS WONDERLAND2026 Returns to Shibuya With Aerial Skate and Prince Ice World Team's Hirokazu Kobayashi

Broadway CHRISTMAS WONDERLAND (ブロードウェイ クリスマス・ワンダーランド), a special stage show that has brightened Shibuya's winters since its premiere in 2016, returns this year from Saturday, December 12 to Friday, December 25, 2026 at Tokyu Theatre Orb (東急シアターオーブ) on the 11th floor of Shibuya Hikarie. Accomplished singers and dancers who travel from the United States perform on stage in a show filled with excitement and emotion.

Since 2024, the show has been directed by Kahori Kanaya (金谷かほり), a leading theme park show creator in Japan, and it has grown even more powerful. The stage opens up a dramatic world that includes a Christmas-time New York cityscape, a mystical snowy landscape, a colorful and glamorous Christmas party, and a toy factory full of exciting surprises. This year's Broadway CHRISTMAS WONDERLAND2026 adds new staging and new highlights.

Highlights

Aerial Skate, an Acrobatic Performance in the Air

Aerial skate performance

"Aerial Skate" is a new act this year. In a fantastical world of snow, a female singer powerfully sings the hit song "Let It Go," and the performer glides through the air in a beautiful and dynamic performance set to the song. The acrobatic movements and elegant expression are impressive, and audiences can feel immersed, as if they have stepped into a dream world.

The performer is Scott Smith (スコット・スミス), who represented the United States in figure skating and competed in international events for 10 years. After moving from competition to entertainment stages, he has appeared in many ice shows, including CRYSTAL, the ice show by the world-renowned circus entertainment group Cirque du Soleil. His performance combines the physical ability he built as a top athlete, the artistry of aerial performance, and many years of figure skating experience.

Hirokazu Kobayashi From the Prince Ice World Team Joins the Cast

Hirokazu Kobayashi of the Prince Ice World Team

Hirokazu Kobayashi (小林宏一), captain of Japan's only skater team, the Prince Ice World Team, has been cast in the show. An accomplished skater who has captivated audiences in many ice shows, he adds to the glamour of the production. Besides performing a solo, he shares the stage with the dancers from the United States on a special stage that allows dancers and skaters to perform at the same time, which is one of the show's highlights. The stage brings together performances from different genres.

This year it appears in more scenes, including some where it dances together with the dancers.

About the Show

The show features a number of exciting Christmas songs, gorgeous dance, a skating show, and the appearance of Santa Claus, with one impressive performance after another.
