Cafe & Dining HARUHORO, operated by Shunpanro Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture) on the first floor of Hotel JAL City Haneda Tokyo in Ota-ku, Tokyo (Restaurant Manager: 升田順治), is celebrating its 10th anniversary. To mark the milestone, the restaurant is offering a limited-time "10th Anniversary Lunch & Dinner Course" as a thank-you to guests.
Cafe & Dining HARUHORO is a lifestyle restaurant rooted in Shunpanro Honten in Shimonoseki, an establishment named by Japan's first Prime Minister, Ito Hirobumi, and the first in Japan officially licensed to serve fugu (puffer fish). The restaurant's name is a modernized reading of the historic name "Shunpanro."
For this 10th anniversary course, the centerpiece is a modern take on Shunpanro's signature fugu dish: a fugu poêlée wrapped in cured ham, prepared by the head chef alongside other special dishes. On the day, tables will feature a menu card telling "the story of HARUHORO's founding" and "the background and history behind Shunpanro's involvement," offering guests a special dining experience that reveals the restaurant's dedication and 10-year journey.

About Shimonoseki Shunpanro Honten
Shunpanro was named in 1888 by Japan's first Prime Minister, Ito Hirobumi, and became the first establishment in Japan officially licensed to serve fugu.
It later received the honor of hosting Emperor and Empress Showa as overnight guests in 1958 and 1963, and has long been cherished as Shimonoseki's premier venue for distinguished guests.
Perched on a hill overlooking the Kanmon Strait — a setting for the Genpei War and the Meiji Restoration — Shunpanro Honten lets guests enjoy its celebrated fugu cuisine alongside sweeping views of the strait it has watched over through history.
