Caption by Hyatt Namba Osaka (Chuo-ku, Osaka; General Manager: John Justice) is rolling out a new "Burger & Greens" menu at its on-site cafe and dining, Talk Shop, from Saturday, August 1, 2026. The lineup draws on fresh seafood from Kuromon Market, Osaka-style miso, and local food culture to create a Namba take on the burger and salad format that is already running at Caption by Hyatt properties in Tokyo and Sydney.
The Hyatt brand Caption by Hyatt is designed around the idea of connecting people with each other and with the local community. Its Talk Shop concept has been evolving with each city since the Namba Osaka location became the brand's Japan debut in 2024, followed by Caption by Hyatt兜町 Tokyo in 2025.
Burgers

Six burgers make up the menu, ranging from a classic double patty to a seafood option sourced from the neighborhood market.
@Caption

Caramelized onions cooked low and slow for about three hours form the base of the sauce in this double-patty burger. The natural sweetness of the onions plays against the richness of the beef and cheese, keeping the focus on the ingredients themselves. A triple-patty option is also available.
- Double: 1,900 yen
- Triple: 2,500 yen
Umami Pulled Pork

Tender pulled pork is combined with "amino miso" — a patented miso from Daigen Miso, a long-established miso shop near the hotel — for a deep, fermentation-driven umami flavor.

Salmon Katsu Burger

Thick-cut salmon sourced from Fukahiro, a longstanding fishmonger at Kuromon Market, is breaded and fried in the style of kushikatsu, then dressed in a kushikatsu-inspired sauce. Pickled vegetables from Iseya, another Kuromon institution, serve as the pickles. In a nod to Osaka kushikatsu etiquette, the sauce is applied just once — no double-dipping.
1,900 yen
Smoky BLT

Smoky bacon captures the energy of Namba's busy streets and back alleys. The flavors are straightforward: smoky, savory, and full of the neighborhood's character.
1,800 yen
The menu also includes Veggie Delight (1,700 yen), a vegetarian option, and 裏なんバーガー (Ura Namba Burger) (1,700 yen), which layers chicken nanban and tartar sauce in a nod to Namba's backstreet dining scene.
Salads

Three salads round out the Burger & Greens concept as satisfying standalone plates.
Classic Caesar Salad (1,500 yen) — a familiar, approachable salad topped generously with house-made chicken cooked sous vide.
Kuromon Seafood Salad (1,700 yen) — seasonal seafood from Kuromon Market combined with colorful vegetables, crispy noodles for texture, and a ponzu-based dressing for a Japanese-style finish.
Greek Salad (1,600 yen) — a whole tomato, cottage cheese, and a balsamic dressing bring out the natural flavor of the produce.
Craft Drinks

CAP Shake (900 yen) — a thick, creamy vanilla and banana milkshake.
Fresh Vibes (800 yen) — a smoothie made with kale, almond milk, and orange juice for a light, citrusy drink.
Craft Ginger Ale (750 yen) — ginger ale made with a homemade ginger syrup and finished with sansho pepper, a nod to Kansai food culture.
All prices are tax-inclusive.
