Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER (location: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, operated by Nagoya Television Tower Co., Ltd.) will host a Countdown Lightup event from December 31, 2025 (Wednesday) to January 1, 2026 (Thursday, National Holiday) to celebrate the arrival of the new year. Last year's inaugural event attracted many visitors who gathered around the tower to welcome the new year together. This will be the second time hosting this event.
This year's event features enhanced illumination with the addition of "Tower Jewels," a new lightup design that made its debut in September. After the countdown, visitors can enjoy the champagne-gold "New Year Lightup" until approximately 1:00 AM.
The tower will also offer various New Year's content to enhance the celebration, including the popular first sunrise viewing and the release of the 2026 commemorative medal model. Please visit the Sakae district and Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER to experience the new year.

2026 Year Model Commemorative Medal Sales
The annual commemorative medal releases its 2026 design. This year's pattern is "Irikobishi" (nested diamonds). The diamond pattern overlaps in multiple layers, symbolizing prosperity and good health, and is considered a very historic design. It's an original commemorative medal unique to Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER, which continues its history as an important cultural property into the new year.
