The 15F all-day dining restaurant "Substance" at Courtyard by Marriott Fukui will be hosting a "Kyushu Umakamon Lunch Buffet" on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from May 9 to July 12, 2026.
The buffet assembles a wide variety of beloved dishes from across Kyushu, with a special menu supervised by Yuuki Higashizono, Deputy Head Chef at Sheraton Kagoshima. Highlights include Hakata motsu nabe, Miyazaki chicken nanban, Aso's akagyu beef bowl, and Kitakyushu Mojiko yaki curry — a lineup that celebrates Kyushu's diverse regional food culture.

Hakata Motsu Nabe is a signature dish from Fukuoka, featuring tender offal in a rich, deep-flavored broth. The version served here is crafted by a head chef originally from Fukuoka.

The live kitchen adds an interactive element, where chefs prepare dishes right in front of guests — including Nagasaki chanpon, Hakata tonkotsu ramen, and Hakata wagyu roast beef with Madeira sauce.
