DoubleTree by Hilton Kyoto Station (located in Higashikujo, Minami Ward, Kyoto City; General Manager: Yumi Wakita) will host a special "Flower Afternoon Tea" on Saturday, February 14, 2026. This exclusive event brings together the beauty of flowers and the aroma of tea for a luxurious Valentine's Day experience.
This afternoon tea focuses on the beauty of flowers and plants throughout the menu. The hotel's popular bonsai tiramisu has been enhanced with fragrant caramel for a Japanese aesthetic. Orchid verrines and plum mousse offer delicate sweetness and vibrant colors. Rose tarts and violet-passion macarons create a romantic atmosphere perfect for Valentine's Day. The menu continues with bergamot and milk chocolate chocolates, lavender mousse, and elderflower and mint scones, all featuring rich, aromatic flavors.
The savory selection is equally impressive. Saffron rice croquettes, smoked salmon in perilla crepes, and roasted Kyoto duck showcase carefully prepared ingredients. A butterfly pea blue cheese tart adds striking color, while seasonal vegetables paired with seafood round out the offerings.
The event also includes a tea seminar by tea brand Dilmah, where guests can learn about the depth and complexity of tea. Guests who complete a survey will receive the company's original "Double Wall Glass" as a gift. Those who book at least one week in advance will also receive a mini tea gift set.
Experience the differences in tea regions and aromas while enjoying a special Valentine's afternoon.
