Nineteen independent bakeries are gathering at the Otemachi Forest in central Tokyo for FIKA "Forest Bakery" (FIKA「森のベーカリー」), a pop-up market running for three days from May 13 to 15, 2026. Set amid the greenery of the urban forest at Otemachi Tower — directly connected to Otemachi Station — the free-admission event offers visitors a chance to discover bread and baked goods from shops across the Kanto region.

What Is FIKA?
"FIKA" is a Swedish tradition of pausing the day for coffee and light bites, shared alone or with friends, family, or colleagues. Taking inspiration from this Nordic custom, Otemachi Forest has branded its series of seasonal outdoor events as FIKA — previous editions have included roasted sweet potato fairs, snack markets, and nature-themed workshops. "Forest Bakery" marks the second time the FIKA series has featured baked goods.
