Fuji-Q Highland's New "Kirarinko" Aerial Cycle, Blending Music and Sparkling Lights, Opens July 18

Fuji-Q Highland in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture, is renewing its long-loved "Sky Cycle" attraction and reopening it as the aerial cycle "Kirarinko," now with added music and sparkling light effects, on Saturday, July 18, 2026.

Kirarinko is a cycle-type attraction that lets riders enjoy the exhilarating feeling of moving through the air. During the day, a sea of clouds (mist) spreads beneath the 336-meter-long course, creating a cool and refreshing experience as if pedaling above the clouds. With the "Sound Select System," riders can choose songs themselves from a playlist. Wrapped in music picked to match their mood from several tracks, visitors can enjoy a special aerial stroll all their own.

After sunset, the area around the attraction transforms into a dreamlike atmosphere completely different from the daytime. Highlights include a "Rainbow Sea of Clouds," where the mist glows in seven colors lit by lasers, and a "Rail of Light" that appears toward the end of the course, together creating an immersive experience woven from music and light.

Kirarinko at night

Mt. Fuji-shaped lanterns hang from the trees along the course, further enhancing the magical mood. Hidden among them is a single special "Fortune Lantern," and the color of the lantern you find tells your fortune. If it glows pink, your luck in love goes up; if yellow, your luck with money. Very rarely, at a probability of 2.29%, a rainbow-glowing lantern also appears. This fortune-telling element is a fun detail to search for while riding.

Fortune Lantern explanation

Cruising over a glittering sea of clouds along with your favorite music, Kirarinko suits both a cool-down on a hot summer day and a dreamlike, immersive experience after sunset. With different charms to enjoy by day and night, it is an aerial cycle unique to Fuji-Q Highland.
