Fujikyu Railway Co., Ltd., based in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture, is marking its 100th anniversary in September of this year. To commemorate the milestone, the company has fully renovated its Yamanashi headquarters. The new office began operations in April 2026, and on May 7, the centerpiece of the renovation — a permanent exhibition area called "Fujikyu Time Travel" — officially opened.
Yamanashi Headquarters Renovation Overview
The first floor of the headquarters now features a variety of spaces designed to foster interaction and learning. In addition to the main "Fujikyu Time Travel" exhibition area, the floor includes a library, café space, kids' area, and a multipurpose event space. Visitors can explore the company's history, relax at the café, and learn about the appeal of the local region.

① Exhibition Area "Fujikyu Time Travel"
The main draw of the new office is the "Fujikyu Time Travel" exhibition area. A large wall timeline traces 100 years of Fujikyu's history in the transportation and tourism industries, displayed alongside historical photographs and brochures from the early days. Real exhibits include an actual roller coaster car, a bus guide uniform, and various railway artifacts from the company's founding era.

There is also a dedicated corner featuring historical Fuji Mineral Water packaging designs. An arch framing a view of Mt. Fuji adds visual drama to the brand storytelling.

② Café Space "LIBRARY CAFÉ"
The "LIBRARY CAFÉ" is a self-service café open to employees and visitors alike. Counter seating and bench sofas accommodate everything from casual meetings to individual work sessions.

③ "FUJIKYU LIBRARY"
Adjacent to the entrance, the "FUJIKYU LIBRARY" offers a quiet space where visitors can browse books and historical materials related to the Fujikyu Group. It is designed as a relaxed environment for both rest and independent study.

④ Kids Space "cafe de bebe"
For visitors with young children, the "cafe de bebe" provides a family-friendly environment complete with a nursing room. The space is themed around the world of Lisa and Gaspard Town, creating a charming atmosphere where children can play while parents work or relax nearby.

⑤ Meeting Rooms
The meeting rooms take the form of a Fujikyu bus, with actual windshield wipers and tail lights incorporated into the design. The exterior even features a real bus stop sign and bench. The rooms are equipped with the latest audiovisual equipment and soundproofing to support remote and hybrid meetings.

⑥ Multipurpose Area
The multipurpose area uses movable desks and chairs, making it easily adaptable for events, lectures, workshops, and training sessions. Curtains can also be used to divide the space into a semi-enclosed configuration when needed.

2nd and 3rd Floors: Free-Address Workspaces
The second and third floors have been redesigned as free-address workspaces connected to the first floor via an open staircase. Under the concept of "A Circulating Office — Connecting the Future," the layout promotes employee interaction and encourages fresh thinking.

The "Fujikyu Time Travel" exhibition area is planned to be open to the general public on select dates.
