Happinet Corporation and Haruya Bookstore Co., Ltd. are opening gashacoco Haruya Bookstore Sendai on Friday, August 28, 2026 — the 37th franchise location of the capsule toy specialty store gashacoco, set inside the Sendai branch of Haruya Bookstore in Satsumasendai, Kagoshima Prefecture. It will be the first capsule toy specialty store to open in Satsumasendai City.
First Capsule Toy Store in Satsumasendai
Haruya Bookstore Sendai is a community-focused bookstore carrying books and magazines alongside stationery, sundries, CDs, and DVDs. Alongside its role as a traditional neighborhood bookstore, the store also hosts new initiatives such as pop-up shops.
gashacoco Haruya Bookstore Sendai will occupy roughly 22 tsubo (about 73 square meters) of the store, fitted with capsule toy vending machines as a dedicated capsule toy corner. This will be the second Haruya Bookstore location to host a gashacoco, and the first in Satsumasendai City.
gashacoco offers a wide selection of items, with new products added to the shelves every week, giving visitors the chance to find something they want — or something they never knew they wanted. Part of the fun is not knowing what's inside until the capsule is opened.

Opening Campaign
For three days only, from Friday, August 28 to Sunday, August 30, an opening campaign will be held. Customers who bring a redemption coupon distributed in and around the store, or who add gashacoco Haruya Bookstore Sendai as a favorite store in the official gashacoco app, can spin a designated capsule toy machine once for free, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Only designated capsule toys are eligible, and the offer ends once they run out.
