Ginza's winter illumination event "GINZA GILC NIGHT 2026" takes place for 38 days, from Wednesday, November 18 to Friday, December 25, 2026. The illuminations and flags line about 1.5 km in total, covering Chuo-dori from 1-chome to 8-chome and Harumi-dori from Sukiyabashi to around the Ginza 4-chome intersection.
Flags from each luxury maison and other brands go up on November 18, and the illumination is scheduled to be lit from Thursday, November 19. With flower-motif illuminations shining over Ginza in winter, the streetscape is a sight worth seeing.

Winter Illumination in Ginza
"GINZA GILC NIGHT" has become a familiar part of Ginza's winter, and it returns again this year. Street lamp illuminations, street tree illuminations, and flags decorate the area from 1-chome to 8-chome of Ginza-dori and along Harumi-dori from Sukiyabashi to around the Ginza 4-chome intersection.
Last year, the night view of Ginza, decorated with flower-motif street lamp illuminations and the flags of each maison, led many people walking along the street to stop and take photos. This year as well, the illumination overlaps with the lights of the luxury brand stores, creating a glamorous winter night unique to Ginza.

Highlight 1: Flower-Motif Designs
The flower-motif illuminations decorate Ginza. Next to them, flags from luxury brands and others are displayed by period and area, including flags that can only be seen during this event.

Highlight 2: About 1.5 km of Illumination
Street lamp illuminations are lit along about 1.5 km of Ginza-dori and Harumi-dori. Together with the LED illuminations on the street trees, they make Ginza even more festive for the holiday season. The illumination period runs for 37 days, from Thursday, November 19 to Friday, December 25, so visitors can enjoy Ginza's winter nights at a relaxed pace until Christmas.
Note that some poles have no illumination installed.
