Nihonbashi Eitaro Supervised Mini Matcha Parfait Debuts Exclusively at Kaiten Sushi Ginza Onodera Hareza Ikebukuro

A limited-time dessert made with ingredients from Eitaro Souhonpo (榮太樓總本鋪), a wagashi shop in Nihonbashi, is coming to Kaiten Sushi Ginza Onodera Hareza Ikebukuro (廻転鮨 銀座おのでら ハレザ池袋店). Created as a collaboration between Eitaro Souhonpo and Ginza Onodera, the "Nihonbashi Eitaro Supervised Mini Matcha Parfait with Kuromitsu and Tsubuan" (日本橋榮太樓監修 黒みつとつぶあんのミニ抹茶パフェ) is available from Friday, October 23, 2026.

A Dessert Exclusive to the Hareza Ikebukuro Location

The restaurant brings traditional Edomae sushi to present-day Ikebukuro, and this dessert is an initiative exclusive to the Hareza Ikebukuro location. It uses the kuromitsu (black sugar syrup) and tsubuan (chunky sweet red bean paste) of Eitaro Souhonpo, a wagashi shop in Edo's Nihonbashi. The dessert is offered for a limited time, from the opening day through the end of January 2027.

The parfait is meant to let guests enjoy the food culture that lives on in Tokyo with a modern sensibility.

What's in the Parfait

The parfait features Eitaro Souhonpo's rich kuromitsu and the azuki-flavored tsubuan. Fragrant, rich matcha jelly, chewy shiratama dumplings, and cold vanilla ice cream bring out the deep sweetness of these two ingredients, and together the components create a harmony of sweetness. As a finishing touch, toasty sweet potato chips add a hint of saltiness that gently pulls the whole dessert together. It is a mini Japanese-style parfait that is deeply satisfying.
