A collaboration between GODIVA Japan and Fukui-based wagashi shop Hayakawa Confectionery (金花堂はや川, based in Katsuyama City, Fukui) is expanding to select GODIVA shops nationwide. The new Habutae Kurumi chocolate sweets, which began with an advance sale at GODIVA's Seibu Fukui location on April 28, 2026, will be available at GODIVA shops across Japan from May 15, 2026.
A Collaboration Between Two 100th-Anniversary Brands
Both GODIVA Japan and Hayakawa Confectionery are marking their 100th anniversary in 2026. The new collection brings together Fukui's beloved "Habutae Kurumi" wagashi confectionery tradition and GODIVA's chocolate expertise, combining Japanese and Western sweet-making into a single product line.
Product Announcement Event in Fukui
On April 27, 2026, a product announcement event was held at Fukui Prefectural Office. GODIVA Japan President and CEO Jérôme Chouchan paid a courtesy visit to the Fukui Governor, and a product showcase was held for local media, featuring presentations on the development background and product characteristics.
