A new dining spot is arriving in Shibuya. goodNess (グッドネス), a Hawaiian café & bar restaurant and the sister brand of Kona's Coffee, will open its first location — "goodNess Shibuya" — on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Shibuya Mark City.
Located on the 4th floor of Shibuya Mark City and directly connected to Shibuya Station, the restaurant is open from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM, covering morning through late-night dining — breakfast, lunch, dinner, café, and bar all under one roof.
What is goodNess?
goodNess is the sister brand of Kona's Coffee, which operates 55 locations across Japan (as of end of April 2026) under the concept of "the nearest Hawaii." While Kona's Coffee is best known for its relaxed, roadside locations, goodNess takes a different direction — an urban dining restaurant where guests can enjoy Hawaiian-inspired food alongside a full selection of alcoholic beverages.
Under the concept of "Hawaiian Feast," the menu reimagines beloved Kona's Coffee dishes in a full-service dining format. The lineup shifts throughout the day: pancakes and open sandwiches in the morning, burgers and loco moco for lunch, and Hawaiian-style steak and garlic shrimp for dinner. Drinks range from coffee and café beverages to wine and Hawaiian-inspired cocktails.
The interior features an open kitchen and bar counter, creating an atmosphere that feels like stepping into a resort — even in the heart of the city.
Morning Menu (8:00 AM – 11:00 AM)
The morning menu puts a lighter spin on Kona's Coffee's signature pancakes — rolled thinner than the original for an easy, relaxed start to the day. Other highlights include a fluffy omelet and crispy bacon morning plate, and an acai bowl topped generously with fresh fruit.

The à la carte menu is available throughout the day, featuring a visually striking lineup with a Hawaiian character. Garlic shrimp is served with mashed potato and a rich, garlic-forward sauce. The KIAWE Wood Grilled Steak uses kiawe — a fragrant Hawaiian hardwood — to give the meat a distinctive smoky character. The beloved Kona's Coffee pancakes also appear as a dessert dish to round out the evening.

Alcohol Menu
The drinks menu spans wines, beers, whiskies, and cocktails. Hawaiian-inspired cocktails include original creations like the "Pineapple Tequila Bowl" and "goodNess Gulf Stream," alongside classics such as the "Margarita" and "Coffee Martini." The vibrant colors and Hawaiian flavors make for drinks that are as enjoyable to look at as to taste.
The Space
The interior features an open kitchen and bar counter set against Hawaiian-inspired décor. Brown-toned wood provides the base, with terracotta color accents adding warmth and refinement. Playfully colored speakers contribute to a carefully crafted sonic experience, completing a space designed to engage all the senses.
Seating options include private rooms, counter seats, and table seats, making it suitable for a range of visits — a solo coffee stop in the morning, a weekday lunch, or an evening out with wine and dinner.

"Kona's Coffee has built a following by offering a space — mainly in suburban areas — where guests can feel as though they have traveled to Hawaii, with thoughtful hospitality, ambiance, and food. However, because many locations are designed for car access, there have always been limits to how far we could go with alcohol and evening dining.
With goodNess, we are taking on something that is only possible in an urban setting. As a dining restaurant where guests can enjoy food alongside wine and other beverages, we want to deliver a Hawaiian moment at any time of day, for any reason.
