Grand Nikko Awaji (Yumebutai 2, Awaji City, Hyogo) is offering an accommodation plan to coincide with the Awaji Hanamatsuri 2026 Spring flower festival, scheduled to run from March 20 (Friday/holiday) through May 24 (Sunday), 2026. The plan includes admission tickets to the adjacent greenhouse and a nearby national park, and is available to book from March 2 through May 23, 2026.
The Awaji Hanamatsuri is an annual spring and autumn celebration that highlights Awaji Island's identity as an island of flowers. Floral landmarks across the island host a range of events centered around flowers and greenery.
At Awaji Yumebutai, where the hotel stands, guests can enjoy the "Hyakudan-en" — a terraced garden featuring 100 flower beds arranged along a hillside — and the "Awaji Green Hall," one of Japan's largest greenhouse facilities. Both were conceived by internationally renowned architect Tadao Ando, whose architectural vision blends harmoniously with the spring blooms.
At the adjacent Awaji Island National Akashi Kaikyo Park, "Spring Carnival 2026" begins on March 20 (Friday/holiday). The park features approximately 135,000 tulips, nemophila, and livingstone daisies, all set against sweeping panoramic views of the sea and sky. On weekends, flower guide tours and hands-on activities are also scheduled throughout the season.
The accommodation plan includes a Superior Room (37–39 m²) or a Deluxe Room (42 m²), along with a colorful breakfast buffet using Awaji Island eggs, milk, and seasonal vegetables. Guests also receive an entry pass to the outdoor hot spring facility "Miyu Matsuhono-Sato," which offers a panoramic view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge — one of the world's largest suspension bridges — from its open-air bath.
