Surrounded by sea and sky, the resort Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima (23-1 Motoujina-cho, Minami-ku, Hiroshima; General Manager: Haruo Hirase) is offering a new stay plan featuring a private tour of Daisho-in, Miyajima's oldest temple, from Thursday, October 1 through Sunday, December 27, 2026. The plan is called "Deep Miyajima Stay: A Tour to Find Peace of Mind at Miyajima's Oldest Temple" (宮島最古の寺院で心ととのう『Deep宮島』ツアー付きステイ).
On the first night, guests stay in the hotel's G7 suite, where they can unwind with sweeping views of the Seto Inland Sea from the room, tea time at the Club Floor Lounge, and a soak in the Hiroshima Onsen "Seto no Yu." The following day, a high-speed boat departing from the pier in front of the hotel takes guests to Miyajima, where they can experience "Deep Miyajima" — a private tour of Daisho-in that includes a tour of the temple grounds, a shojin ryori lunch, and tea served in a tea room not normally open to the public.
Last year, Miyajima recorded a record-high of roughly 4.97 million visitors (*1). Alongside sights such as the World Heritage-listed Itsukushima Shrine and the island's autumn foliage, this plan was designed to introduce Miyajima's deeper history and tranquility as a new part of its appeal.
As autumn gradually settles over the Seto Inland Sea, Miyajima offers a premium experience that satisfies all five senses.

Day 1
2:00 PM: Check-in, tea time at the lounge
After checking in, enjoy tea time at the Club Floor Lounge.
Watching the ever-changing expressions of the sky and sea, or simply relaxing in the room, is also recommended.
6:00 PM: Dinner and cocktail time
After dinner, unwind with a drink in hand at the Club Floor Lounge.

8:00 PM: Relax at Hiroshima Onsen "Seto no Yu"
Hiroshima Onsen "Seto no Yu", on the 3rd floor, can be used as many times as guests like during their stay.
Day 2
9:30 AM: Breakfast, check-out, and a high-speed boat to Miyajima
Enjoy a Japanese and Western buffet breakfast at "Sky Lounge Top of Hiroshima" on the hotel's top floor.
Head to Miyajima by high-speed boat departing from the pier in front of the hotel.
10:30 AM – 2:00 PM: Experience "Deep Miyajima" at Daisho-in
Take a private tour of Daisho-in, Miyajima's oldest temple, standing at the foot of Mount Misen.
After a tour of the temple grounds and a prayer ritual led by a monk, enjoy a shojin ryori lunch made with local ingredients.
Following the meal, matcha and wagashi are served in a tea room not normally open to the public.
The experience comes with a tour-exclusive goshuincho featuring foil-stamped paper as a souvenir.
About "Deep Miyajima"
A tour experience hosted by Daisho-in, built around the concept of getting to know Miyajima on a deeper level.
Alongside a mostly sightseeing-focused private tour, the temple also offers a private training experience where guests can practice reaching a state of "no-mind," guided by a monk's teachings on Kukai and Miyajima's history as well as goma fire rituals. Through experiences unique to Miyajima, the tour aims to stimulate the senses and make guests' trips more memorable.
