Oriental Hotel Hiroshima will hold the "Sky Strawberry Buffet" (天空のストロベリーブッフェ), a buffet centered on strawberry sweets, on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from January 10 (Sunday) to April 25 (Sunday), 2027. It takes place at Moon Glow (ムーングロー) on the 23rd floor, the top floor of the hotel, which offers panoramic views. Reservations open on November 1 (Sunday), 2026.
Strawberry Picking for Adults, 100 Meters Above Ground
The buffet is billed as "strawberry picking for adults" (大人の苺狩り), where the view is part of the feast. The event marks the start of the hotel's 21st year since opening, and its themes are "sky" and "strawberry." While looking out over the Hiroshima cityscape from 100 meters above the ground, guests can enjoy as many sweets made with seasonal strawberries as they like. The venue is decorated mainly in pink, white, and gold, reflecting the seasons as they move from winter to spring.
The buffet table holds 20 kinds of sweets in all. They range from crispy deep-fried strawberry pie pockets and strawberry canelés to smooth strawberry pudding and strawberry tiramisu, along with strawberry Japanese confections. Savory dishes such as pasta, pizza, and soup are also available, and the savory menu changes between January–February and March–April, so the flavors differ depending on when you visit.
During the period, the hotel's in-house restaurants New York Cafe and OZAWA will also offer desserts made with strawberries, so the whole hotel takes part in the strawberry season.
20 Sweets Featuring Strawberries
The lineup covers Western-style sweets, baked sweets, Japanese confections, and chocolates, showing many different sides of the strawberry.
