Hotel Hana to Kage (花と翳) to Open in Nihonbashi Hamacho on June 1, 2027, With Reservations Now Open

Hotel Hana to Kage (花と翳), a new hotel in Tokyo's Nihonbashi Hamacho, will hold its grand opening on June 1, 2027, following a pre-opening on April 26. Reservations opened on November 6, 2026.

The hotel proposes a new way of staying while carrying on the history and the everyday life that Nihonbashi Hamacho has nurtured. Besides accommodation, it includes a restaurant, a cafe and gallery, a snack bar, and a flower shop, and it aims to be a place where visitors and the daily life of the neighborhood meet.

About Hana to Kage

Hana to Kage is a hotel that carries a Japanese aesthetic that cherishes light and shadow. Alongside the guest rooms, spaces with very different characters color a stay: a flower shop that tells of the changing seasons, a restaurant where people gather around a warm table, and a snack bar that glimmers quietly in the dark.

Inside, the hotel makes the most of the individual character of the existing buildings, carefully arranging the texture of materials, the way light enters, shadows, and open space. The spaces change their expression with the time of day and the season, and the hotel aims for spaces where comfort and discoveries grow the longer one stays.

Guest Rooms

There are seven room types in all, including Grand Studio, Junior Suite, and Owner's Suite. At 50 to 104 sqm, the rooms offer generous space and are designed for a calm time, as if staying in a private residence. The planned number of rooms is 20 across the seven types.

Facilities

Restaurant: Paerilla Stand Ruta S.A

The restaurant serves Spanish cuisine by chef Victor Garcia (ビクトル・ガルシア), who has run restaurants selected for the Michelin Guide's Bib Gourmand, including Arroceria Sal y Amor (アロセリア サル イ アモール) in Daikanyama, Tokyo. Gathering around paella and other Spanish dishes at a shared table is part of the restaurant's appeal. Sharing food and wine naturally brings people closer together, and the restaurant offers lively, warm dining time.

Flower Shop: STAYFLOWER Hamacho (STAYFLOWER 浜町)

STAYFLOWER, which operates shops in Daitabashi and Nakameguro in Tokyo, opens a new store here. Like a corner of someone's room, it sits right beside daily life and is open to the street. Through encounters with flowers, it adds small touches of color to everyday life.

Cafe & Gallery NIWA

Located on the 1st floor, the cafe and gallery connects the hotel and the town. It is a place where guests and local people can spend time as they please.

Snack Yugao (スナック 夕顔)

Located on the basement 1st floor, the snack bar offers an intimate time of enjoying drinks and conversation in a calm space.

These facilities can be dropped in on during a stay as well as in everyday life, and through them the hotel aims to nurture a place where the hotel and the people of the town meet.

Project Partners

The hotel aims to be a facility for visitors from outside and also a place connected to the daily lives of the people who live in Nihonbashi Hamacho. It brings the world of Hana to Kage to life together with partners who each have their own expertise and sensibility.
